Salmon
Fishing
Salmon
are the most sought after fish here in Fort Bragg, at least
from February through September, and is the most well known.
If you've never tried salmon fishing you've got to try it
at least once. They are a lot of fun to catch, are great fighters
and great to eat. The average size is about 15 lb. although
we do catch them over
50 lb. |

Rockfishing
Rock
fishing is perfect for children and people that have never
fished before because of the constant action. Rock fish are
much like a bass and the average size is 2.5 lb., but we do
get them up to 14 lb. These fish are a lot of fun to catch
and are great eating. You also have a chance to catch lingcod
up to 35 lbs. and what most people call red snapper while
doing this type of fishing. |

Crabbing
Our
crab trips begin in the end of November and continue until
May. Once salmon season opens in February we also offer crab
combos which we run our crab gear in the morning then fish
then run our gear at the end of the trip ensuring that we
get as many crabs as we can. |

Tuna Fishing
We
usually start our tuna trips in the middle of July and run
them through October depending on the weather. When the tuna
move into the waters off of Fort Bragg we usually don't have
to go far to get them. Most of our trips are 10 - 12 hour
trips, but if they move in close enough we will do half day
trips. We also offer 2 day trips that stay out one night and
since there are no limit on albacore you can take as many
home as you can catch. |

It's all up to you
We
also will fish for or do just about anything that you would
like to try. We do take out funerals and other services. We
will also fish for shark, halibut and we will also do extended
trips if you would like. The best thing to do if you would
like to try anything different other than what we normally
offer is to call or e-mail
us with an idea of what you would like to try and we can see
if we can work something out. |

Salmon Fishing:
In April 2008, the Pacific Fishery Management Council (PFMC), the National Marine Fisheries Service, and the California Fish and Game Commission adopted a complete closure of the ocean salmon sport fishery in California for the remainder of the 2008 season. This means that salmon fishing will be closed for the entire season. This is a huge blow to the industry and we can only hope that next year we will have a better season. Since salmon fishing will be closed for the season we will be running only rockfishing trips for the rockfishing season starting in June. |
 |
 |
Rock Fishing:
Rock fishing is currently closed and is scheduled to reopen June 1, 2008. After a 8 month closure rock fishing is sure to be fantastic. |
 |
 |
Whale Watching:
We are no longer running any whale watching trips for the season. We will begin running trips again in December. |
 |
 |
Crabbing:
Crabbing is also doing great. Most of our trips are coming in with limits or near limits of crabs.
|
 |
 |
Tuna Fishing:
Currently there aren't any tuna around to catch, but we hope there will be some come July 2008. |
